Heard learned counsel for the applicant and learned APP.

This is an application for pre-arrest bail. The applicant is apprehending arrest in connection with C.R No.0964 of 2022 dated 16/12/2022 registered with Manpada Police Station for offence punishable under sections 170, 171, 384, 385, 420, 471 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. 3.
It is alleged by the first informant that one person (accused no.1) came to his company projecting himself as 1/3
an officer of the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board. The name of accused No.1 is Mayank. A demand of Rs.50,000/- was made by Mayank, if at all the informant did not wish action be taken against the Company for violation of the pollution laws. The informant suspected something foul, therefore asked for the identity card of Mayank. Mayank tried to run away. 2 persons were sitting in the car, one of which is alleged to be the applicant, fled. Mayank was arrested and since released on bail. There are no criminal antecedents reported against the applicant. Present is a case where custodial interrogation of the applicant is not required. There is nothing to be recovered from the applicant. Hence, the following order.
O R D E R
(a) The application is allowed.
(b) In the event of arrest of the applicant in connection with C.R. No.0964 of 2022 dated 16/12/2022 registered with Manpada Police Station, the applicant-Manoj Yashwant Ghosalkar be released on bail on his furnishing P.R. Bond in the sum of Rs.25,000/- with one or more sureties in the like amount;

(c) The applicant shall not directly or indirectly make any inducement, threat or promise to any person acquainted with facts of case so as to dissuade him from disclosing the facts to Court or any Police Officer and should not tamper with evidence;
(d) The applicant shall attend the investigating officer on 27th, 28th abd 29th January 2023 between 11.00 a.m. and 1.00 p.m. and thereafter as and when called for.
