RULE. Rule made returnable forthwith by consent and heard learned counsel for the parties.

By this petition, the petitioner-Education Society has pressed prayer clause (IV) seeking grant-in-aid to the school run by the petitioner being - Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule Karyashala - from the year 2012-13. 3.

The respondent nos.1 to 3-State of Maharashtra by Government Resolution dated 6th February 2023 had granted aforesaid benefit from 1st January 2023. However, the said Government Resolution does not specify 1/2 26-WP-2500-2018.doc Dixit

whether the petitioner-Education Society is eligible for the said benefit from the year 2012-13. The petitioner has prayed that this petition be treated as representation to the respondent-State of Maharashtra and appropriate directions be issued to consider prayer (IV) of the petition for grant-in-aid benefit from 2012-13.

We have heard learned counsel for the parties. On perusal of the record, in the interest of justice, we deem it appropriate to issue the following directions :

(i) This writ petition be treated as representation to the respondent-State of Maharashtra for considering the relief sought in prayer clause (IV) of the petition. (ii) The respondent no.1-Principal Secretary, School Education and Sports Department to hear the petitioner-Education Society and pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

(iii) The petitioner to serve a copy of this order on the respondent nos.1 to 3.

(iv) All contentions of the parties are kept open. 5.
