The learned counsel for the petitioner states that his client would file an appeal before the Grievance Redressal Committee under the provisions of Section 3Z(2) of the Maharashtra Slum Areas (Improvement Clearance and Redevelopment) Act, 1971 within one week from today. If any such appeal is filed by the petitioner, the Grievance Redressal Committee shall accept the said appeal on record and shall consider the said appeal on its own merits and shall pass an order within four weeks from the date of petitioner filing the said appeal.

Respondent Nos. 1 to 3 shall not take any coercive steps 1/2

903-WP-1674-2018 against the petitioner in respect of the order dated 19th December, 2017 till the disposal of the said appeal and for a period of two weeks thereafter. Writ petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. 3.

It is made clear that, if the appeal is not filed by the petitioner within one week before the Appellate Authority as stated aforesaid, the respondents would be at liberty to implement the impugned order. The parties as well as the authorities to act on the authenticated copy of this order.
