1. By this petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent No. 2 to give a Police Clearance Certificate to the Passport Authority. According to learned counsel for the petitioner, there is no case which is pending against the petitioner, and as such, there is no impediment in granting the Police Clearance Certificate. 2. Learned APP, on instructions, has tendered a letter addressed by the Senior Police Inspector, Karad City Police Station to her dated 31st January 2024. In the said letter it is stated that, the police are ready to issue a Police Clearance Certificate. The said letter is taken on record.
