The learned counsel for the petitioner at the outset seeks leave to amend the prayer clause. Leave is granted. Necessary amendment shall be carried out within four weeks from today.

Having heard the learned counsel for the respective parties, we deem it convenient to direct the respondent No.2Competent Authority to treat the petitioner's application dated 09th October 2017 for grant of fresh Caste Certificate as belonging to Koli Mahadev, Scheduled Tribe as expeditiously as possible and N.S. Kamble page 1 of 2

48-wp-1252-2018 preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of this order. Ordered accordingly.

It is made clear that we have not gone into the merits of the matter and all points and contentions of the respective parties are kept open and respondent No.2-authority shall decide the said application on its own merits and in accordance with law. 4.

In order to enable the respondent No.2 to decide and comply with this order, the petitioner shall remain present before respondent No.2 on 20th February 2018 along with copy of the said representation and copy of this order.
