ORDER:

The Petitioner by this Petition has sought declaration that the acquisition of the subject lands has lapsed. It is contended that since the declaration under section 6 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 is dated 30 April 2012 and the Award has not been declared within two years from the date of the issuance of the declaration, by virtue of section 11-A of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, the acquisition has lapsed. Learned Counsel for the Respondent Nos.1 and 2/Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Silvassa has placed on record a copy of the Award. We find that the Award which, is dated 25 April 2014 has been made within two years of the declaration dated 30 April 2012 under section 6 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894.
