This is an application seeking modification of the bail order dated 10th December, 2018, where in this Court had suspended the substantive sentence and enlarged the Applicant on bail with a direction to furnish P.R. Bond in the sum of Rs.50,000/- and one or more solvent sureties in the like amount.

The learned counsel for the Applicant submits that at the time of trial of CBI Special Case No.5 of 1992, the Applicant was 62 years' old. It is accordingly observed by the Learned Judge while determining the quantum of sentence that the Accused No.3 is a senior citizen. Therefore, it can be inferred that as on today she is an octogenarians. It is submitted that due to old age, a prayer is

21- APPA 99 of 2019 made that she may be released on furnishing P.R. Bond in the sum of 15,000/-.

Taking into consideration the facts of the case and in the interest of justice, the criminal application No. 99 of 2019 deserves to be allowed.

Hence, the order dated 10th December, 2018 is accordingly modified. Criminal Application No. 99 of 2019 is allowed in terms of prayer clause (a) and stands disposed of.
