The charge was framed as far back as on 15/06/2015. The applicant has one more year of service left. A request is therefore made for expediting the trial. Learned APP submitted that the complainant had met with an accident. He was indisposed, hence could not attend the trial Court. She submits that now the complainant is attending the trial. It is submitted that the complainant has been examined partly. In addition, one panch witness and one independent witness have been examined. Only 3 witnesses remain to be examined.

In this view of the matter, the trial Court is requested to expedite the trial. In the ordinary course, I would not have directed the expeditious disposal having regard to the workload on the trial Court, however, as the witnesses are already under examination and considering that the charge was framed as far back as in the year 2015, I am inclined to request the trial Court to expedite the trial and conclude the same preferably within a period of 16 weeks from the date when the copy of this order is placed on record of the trial Court.

The criminal application is disposed of.
