Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned AGP for the State. The application made by the petitioner for renewal of Arms License is pending since 3rd February, 2016. The learned AGP states that as of today, the said application is pending. 3.

A representation was made by the petitioner on 9th January, 2017, which is annexed as Exhibit F to the petition pointing out pps

p-19 wp 1353-17.doc several difficulties which may be faced by him if the license is not renewed.

As the application for renewal of license is pending for an inordinately long time, we pass following order: a) We direct the Respondent no.1 to decide the pending application as expeditiously as possible and in any event, on or before the end of this month.

b) The order passed by the first respondent shall be immediately communicated to the petitioner.
