This petition is seeking a direction in the nature of Writ of Mandamus to the Respondent No.2 to take cognizance of the complaint made by the Petitioner and to register an F.I.R. and to investigate further.

Section 154 of the Code of Criminal Procedure lays down a methodology how the information in cognizable case has to be furnished. First it is to be given to the officer in charge of the police station. If no steps are taken then as per Section 154(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, grievance can be addressed to the concerned Superintendent of Police. The annexures to the petition which the petitioner has enclosed are general representations to all the authorities which is not contemplated under section 154 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. Once the law lays down a specific methodology, it should be followed so, so that concerned authorities can proceed as per the procedure laid down. Such general representations to all authorities are not contemplated. Accepting this position, the learned counsel for the Petitioner states that the Petitioner will follow the methodology laid down under section 154 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. In view of this statement, no further orders are required to be passed in this Petition.
