By this application, the applicant seeks a direction to the passport authority for renewal of her passport, as per the Passport Act and Rules thereunder, for a period of 10 years. 2.

Perused the papers. The applicant alongwith other co1/3

accused has been chargesheeted in connection with C.R.No. 476 of 2015 registered with the Ghatkopar Police Station, Mumbai, for the alleged offences punishable under Section 420 r/w 34 of the Indian Penal Code and under Section 63-B and 64 of the Copyright Act, 1957.

The applicant has filed the aforesaid petition i.e. Criminal Writ Petition No. 1457 of 2018, seeking quashing of the aforesaid C.R./proceeding. This Court vide order dated 11th July, 2018, directed that until further orders of this Court, the case not to be proceeded with, in the trial Court.

As the applicant is desirous of traveling abroad, the applicant has filed the aforesaid application, seeking renewal of his passport which expired on 3rd May, 2017. Learned Counsel appearing for the respective respondents state that they have no objection, if the application is allowed.

Accordingly, we allow the application and direct the Passport Authorities to renew the passport of the applicant in accordance with the Passport Act and Rules thereunder, for a period of 10 years.

The application is allowed and disposed of on the aforesaid terms.
