This is an application to direct the Registrar and the Bank which has furnished the bank guarantee namely Maharashtra State Co-operative Bank Ltd. to substitute and record the name as "The Sutex Co-operative Bank Ltd." instead of "The Needs of Life Co-operative Bank Ltd." 1/2

The substance of the application is that the "Needs Life Co-operative Bank Ltd." has merged with "The Sutex Cooperative Bank Ltd." pursuant to an order dated 13th October, 2021 passed by the Commissioner for Co-operation and the Registrar of Co-operative Societies under Section 110A of the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act, 1960, with the approval of the Reserve Bank of India.

Without prejudice to the rights and contentions of respondent No.1 - original applicant in ABA/1964/2016, the application stands allowed in terms of prayer Clause (a). 5.

The applicant shall furnish copy of fresh bank guarantee with the changed name to respondent No.1 - original applicant.
