The convict seeks benefits of remission under Remission scheme floated on the eve of 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. The convicting Court has submitted negative recommendation as he was convicted for gang rape. 2.

The policy decision as modified, does not exclude this offence from its scope. We, therefore, hold the convict entitle for benefit of remission. Same be extended to him accordingly. 3.

Petition is allowed and disposed of.
