Heard both sides.

The petitioner has preferred an application for regular parole on 4th December, 2015. It was rejected on 21st January, 2017. Being aggrieved thereby, the petitioner has preferred this petition.

It is seen that against an order of rejection of an application for parole, there is remedy of filing appeal. Hence, SQ Pathan 1/2
wp.441.17.20.doc we are not inclined to interfere and the petitioner is relegated to the remedy of preferring an appeal.

The second contention of the petitioner is that his father expired on 18th August, 2016. Hence, he preferred an application for being released on death parole. The said application was preferred on 26th August, 2016. Learned A.P.P states on instructions that the said application was granted and the petitioner was released on death parole for a period of one week. In relation to the second contention, no further orders are necessary. In relation to the first contention, no case is made out for interference. Hence, rule is discharged. (REVATI MOHITE DERE, J.)
