By filing this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner has challenged the interim order dated 24.1.2018 passed by respondent no. 4.

It is not in dispute that the 4th respondent had passed the impugned interim order dated 24.1.2018 against interim order passed by the Director of Marketing, respondent no. 3, before whom the appeal is still pending.

Having regard to the aforesaid, as agreed by the learned counsel for the parties, we dispose of this petition by directing respondent no. 3 Director of Marketing to decide the petitioner's appeal on merits as expeditiously as possible but in any case not later than four weeks from the date of appearance of the parties before him.

Parties to appear before the Director on 12th March, 2018 at 3.00 p.m.

As a consequence, respondent no. 4 is not required to decide the appeal. The said appeal stands disposed of by this order. 7.
Status quo as of today in respect of the petitioner shall be maintained till the matter is decided by the Director. 8.
With the aforesaid directions, Writ Petition stands disposed of.
