Heard the learned Counsel for the applicant, who prays for suspension of the substantive sentence, pending the appeal wherein the applicant has been convicted and sentenced to undergo Rigorous Imprisonment for one year with fine of Rs. 2,000/-, in default to suffer Rigorous Imprisonment for two months of the offence punishable under Section 353 of the Indian Penal Code. He has also been convicted of the offence punishable under Section 332 and sentenced to suffer Rigorous Imprisonment for one year with fine of Rs. 2,000/-, in default to suffer Rigorous Imprisonment for two months. She submitted that the applicant has deposited the fine amount.

Looking to the short period of sentence awarded to the applicant, the execution of substantive sentence is suspended on the applicant furnishing P.R. bond in the sum of Rs.15,000/- with one or two solvent sureties to the satisfaction of the Additional Sessions Judge, Mumbai.

The applicant shall attend this Court as and when directed. 4.
