The challenge in this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is to the fixation of reservation for the post of Sarpanch of various Village Panchayats in Taluka-Alibaug DistrictRaigad. The period for the reservation has come to an end in the year 2010.

Thus, with the passage of time, this petition will not survives. Accordingly, the petition is disposed of.

Rule is discharged.
