The petitioner's nomination paper came to be rejected for want of signature of the petitioner at one place. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that this mistake could have been rectified at the time of scrutiny. This submission is contradicted by learned Counsel appearing for the 1/2
8.wp 1661.17.doc State Election Commission - Mr.Shetye. Mr.Shetye submitted that at the time of filing of the nomination paper, all the mandatory requirements are to be complied with. 3.
We have perused the record. In the facts, we are not inclined to exercise writ jurisdiction. The election process is set in motion. However, petitioner is at liberty to resort to appropriate statutory remedy after election results are declared. 4.
The Writ Petition is accordingly rejected.
