Parties jointly request for quashing of the FIR dated 26/8/2014. Respondent no.2 complainant is present with his advocate. Petitioner is present with his advocate. 2.
Respondent no.2 has tendered affidavit explaining that because of some dispute and misunderstanding the police complaint was required to be filed.

During the hearing, we find that the police complaint was filed with a view to pressurize present petitioner and affidavit shows that the state machinery including the police has been nilegaonkar 1/2
2-wp-601.2015.odt unnecessarily used. Thus loss has been caused to the public revenue.

Both the parties state that they will pay reasonable amount to State Government as compensation.

Subject to petitioner and respondent no.2 each paying the amount of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty thousand only) to respondent State within four weeks from today, FIR mentioned supra shall stand quashed and set aside.

Upon the costs being so paid by the parties, rule is made absolute in terms of prayer clause (a).
