CORAM :
NITIN JAMDAR AND N.R. BORKAR, JJ.
DATED :
3 AUGUST 2022 P.C. :- On 20 December 2021, following order was passed : "Request is made on behalf of the learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the Petitioners in the Writ Petition No. 601 of 2016 for adjournment. The learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner in the Writ Petition No. 428 of 2020 states that as per his information the Police Authorities have filed a negative report stating that no offence is made out. The learned APP has no instructions in that regard. If that is the position, the Writ Petition No. 428 of 2020 may not survive.
2.
To enable the learned APP to make a statement, stand over to 17 January 2022 under the caption "For Directions"."
2.
Yesterday, when the Petitions were called out the learned APP had sought time to confirm the position.
3.
Today, the learned APP on instructions states that the closure report (C-Summary) is filed. In view of this position, it is not necessary to keep the Petitions pending, as depending on the further steps taken pursuant to the closure report, parties will have their 2 / 3
remedies open. Accordingly, all the above Writ Petitions are disposed of. The Interim Application also stands disposed of. ( N.R. BORKAR, J. ) ( NITIN JAMDAR, J. ) by KANCHAN PRASHANT DHURI Date:
