Writ Petition (ST) Nos.3725 and 3726 of 2021 are not on board. Upon mentioning, the same are taken on board.

There is a delay in fling the above Writ Petitions, by which the elections to the post of Sarpanch in diferent Talukas have been challenged on the ground of reservations. Since the objections are fled at a very belated stage, we record the statement made by the learned Additional Govt. Pleader on instructions that the reservations for the seats of Sarpanch will be on rotation basis i.e. by following the procedure prescribed under Section 30(5) of the Maharashtra Village Panchayats Act, 1959 read with the Bombay Village Panchayats (Sarpanch and Upa-Sarpanch) Election Rules, 1964.
