DATE : 18th FEBRUARY, 2021 P.C. :

1.

After arguing for some time, when I expressed my disinclination to grant relief in this Application, learned Counsel for the Applicant prays for unconditional withdrawal of this Application. He, however, submits that the Applicant is in custody in this case since 13.9.2015. He is 25 years of age as of today. He, therefore, prays that considering the Applicant's age and the long period which he has undergone as an under-trial prisoner, the trial may be expedited.

Considering this request, the Application is allowed to be withdrawn unconditionally. However, learned Counsel's other prayer is also reasonable. The Applicant is in custody since a long time and his trial deserves to be expedited. Therefore, the trial Court is directed to expedite the trial. The trial Court shall endeavor to complete the trial within a period of one year from today.

The Application is disposed of accordingly.
