In the light of the 'Notification' issued by the Government, which is published in the 'Maharashtra Government Gazette', and particularly 1/3

the 'Statute' known as 'Maharashtra Public Universities (Functional Mechanism of Working of Students' Grievance Redressal Cell) Uniform Statute, 2019', we do not think that these Writ Petitions should be kept pending. In so far as other issues are concerned, we accept the statements made in the affidavit of Shri Saurabh Vijay, Secretary, Higher and Technical Education Department, Government of Maharashtra, as undertakings given to this Court.

In so far as Petitioners in Writ Petition No.11613 of 2014 are concerned, they are non-teaching staff. They cannot derive any benefit from the order that we have passed today in the case of a Teacher, namely, Ms. Roopkamal Raghunath Bhosale in Writ Petition No.8346 of 2012.

When this point was brought to the notice of Mr. Jadhav, learned counsel for the Petitioners in Writ Petition No.11613 of 2014, on instructions, Mr. Jadhav says that, the Petitioners in Writ Petition No.11613 of 2014 be allowed to withdraw Writ Petition No.11613 of 2014, with liberty to approach the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Maharashtra.

On this statement and as per the instructions, Writ Petition No.11613 of 2014 is allowed to be withdrawn, with liberty as prayed. 2/3

There shall be no order as to costs.

In the light of withdrawal of Writ Petition No.11613 of 2014, nothing survives in Writ Petition No.2527 of 2017 and it is also disposed off.
