This writ petition was filed on 14th February, 2012. The petitioner appeared in person on 17th February, 2012 and an interim order came to be passed. After that date, we find that to the knowledge of the petitioner, the petition has been listed on several occasions. A letter was also issued to him and to an advocate appointed as amicus for him on 11th April, 2012. 2.

We have been noticing that the petitioner has neither instructed the amicus nor has taken any steps to argue this J.V.Salunke,PS

20-WP.1481.2012.doc petition himself. We cannot carry such matters from year to year. In fact, it is for the parties to request for preponement of the dates if any date assigned is inconvenient to them. We do not find any request being made of the above nature.

When the petition was called out, the petitioner is absent. In the light of the above, the writ petition stands dismissed for want of prosecution.
