1] Rule. With the consent of and at the request of the learned counsel for the parties, Rule is made returnable forthwith. 2] The learned AGP, on the basis of instructions states that the appeal instituted by the petitioner will be disposed of within a period of four weeks from today. The statement is accepted. 3] Further, since the appeal itself is going to be disposed of by the respondent no. 5 within four weeks from today, it will be appropriate that during the period of four weeks, there is no election held for the post of Sarpanch. In fact, this Court, vide orders dated 11 February 2016 and 12 February 2016 had granted limited interim relief to the petitioner till today.

skc 19-WP-1857-16 4] The same relief is continued until the disposal of the petitioner's appeal, within four week from today. 5] Accordingly, the respondent no. 5 is directed to dispose of the the petitioner's appeal within four weeks from today. 6] The parties are directed to appear before the respondent no. 5 on 22 February 2016 at 3.00 p.m.

7] Rule is disposed of in the aforesaid terms.

8] All concerned to act on basis of authenticated copy of this order.
