1. The learned Counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioner no.1 was initially appointed as a Peon by petitioner Rane

Rane 2/2 24-WP-7221-2022.odt no.2. Upon acquiring the qualification and existence of vacancy, petitioner no.2 promoted the petitioner no.1 as Shikshan Sevak. The proposal to that effect is submitted to the Education Officer (respondent no.2). Thereafter, some additional documents were called for by the Education Officer. Lastly, for the second time, all the documents were submitted in March, 2021. However, no final decision is taken on the proposal of the petitioner. The learned AGP waives notice on behalf of respondents no.1 and 2. In case the proposal seeking approval to the appointment of the petitioner from the post of Peon to Shikshan Sevak is still pending with respondent no.2, the respondent no.2 shall take decision on its own merits in accordance with law and policy, preferably within six months.

The Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
