By the present Petition, Petitioner is seeking to have the facility of telephone call through the 'Coin Box Telephone'. 2.

Learned A.P.P. on instructions, submitted that, the Petitioner is a convict in a Bomb Blast case and therefore in view of the circular dated 25th March 2022 issued by the Additional Director General of Police and Deputy Inspector of General Police, Prisons, the said facility cannot be made available to him.

Perusal of the said Circular indicates that, there is a caveat at Paragraph - 10 of the said Circular, which permits an accused to have the said facility only on humanitarian ground such as, death of very close relative/natural calamity.

In view of the above, we do not find any merit in the Petition. Petition is accordingly disposed off.
