We have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. 2.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has retired in November, 2019. The Government Resolution is issued on 19th April, 2022 with regard to the revised pay-scales. The same is given effect from 1st April, 2011. According to the learned counsel the retired employees are not given the benefits of the said Government Resolution, whereas inservice employees are given the benefits. The grant is also received.

Ms. Rebecca Gonsalves, learned counsel for respondent no.1 submits that as far as retired employees are concerned, the grant is not received. The exercise of pay fixation of the retired employees is undertaken. The grant is received in respect of inservice employees. Moreover, to them also the arrears have not been paid.

The pay fixation of the retired employees naturally would take some time.

The statement is made that the process is undertaken and on receipt of the grant, the payment would be made. 6.

In view of the above statement, writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
