By this petition, the Petitioner has sought release on emergency (Covid-19) parole.

This relief, which is based on Rule 19 (1) (C) of the Maharashtra Prisons (Mumbai Furlough and Parole) Rules, 1959 as amended, cannot be granted, as of today, since post 8th May, 2020, this facility is not applicable in State of Maharashtra in view of subsequent notification of the State Government.
