We have heard the learned advocate for the petitioners and the learned advocate for the respondents. The submission is that the petitioners are employed with respondents 3 and 4. The Pay Anomaly Committee is constituted in the year 2018 for fixation of revised pay-scales, disparities in pay-fixation and promotional posts etc. However, in spite of lapse of more than four years, no decision is taken on it as yet.

It is not disputed by the respondents that the Pay Anomaly Committee has been constituted and the report is yet to be submitted. In light of that prayer clauses (b), (c) and (d) at this stage cannot be considered.

Let the Pay Anomaly Committee decide regarding the payfixation disparities and all other aspects that are referred to it. The committee may endeavour to take decision with regard to the anomalies such as pay-fixation disparities, promotional posts etc. as may be referred to it, preferably within six months. The UGC may also provide for information as may be required by the Pay Anomaly Committee.

The writ petitions are disposed of accordingly. All contentions of the respective parties are left open. 5.

No costs.
