The first prayer in this petition is for seeking a writ of mandamus for granting the renewal of vendor's licence of the petitioner for the year 2015-2016. The other prayers are for interim relief. Firstly, with the passage of time, no relief in respect of the year 2015-2016 can be granted. Secondly, the application made by the petitioner was for renewal though when the said application was made, the licence was not valid. Hence, nothing survives in this petition and the same is rejected. This order will not prevent the petitioner from making an application for grant of a licence for the current financial year. Such application, if made, shall be decided in accordance with law.
