Undisputedly, the Petitioner's caste validity claim is pending before Respondent No. 2 - Committee. It has been stated by the learned AGP that now the matter is fixed for hearing on 29th June, 2018 before the Committee.

The grievance of the Petitioner is that in the absence of the decision on his caste validity claim, the Respondent No. 3 has issued notice dated 15th January, 2018 to show cause as to why his services should not be terminated for not submitting caste validity certificate.

Keeping in view the fact that the matter is pending Vishal Parekar 1/2

24-wp-2228-2018.doc before Respondent No. 2 - Committee, we deem it appropriate to dispose of this Petition by directing the Respondent No. 2 to decide the caste validity claim of the Petitioner as expeditiously as possible but not later than 31st December, 2018. 5.

Till the Petitioner's caste validity claim is decided, no coercive steps to be taken against the Petitioner for terminating his services, if not already terminated on the basis of the impugned show cause notice.

The Petitioner to appear before the Committee on 29th June, 2018 and cooperate for disposal of the matter by the Caste Scrutiny Committee before outer limited as fixed by this Court. (MAKARAND KARNIK, J.) (SHANTANU KEMKAR, J.) Vishal Parekar 2/2
