Rule. Rule is made returnable forthwith. Heard finally by consent of learned Counsel for the parties. Considering the nature of the order proposed to be passed, service on respondents No.6 to 8 is dispensed with.

The Petitioner's father was serving at respondent No.7-School as "Peon". He expired in harness on 9th February, 2021. The petitioner's mother made an application seeking appointment on SHAILAJA SHRIKANT HALKUDE SHRIKANT HALKUDE Date: 2022.04.20 11:56:57 +0530

24-WP-4631-2022.doc compassionate basis. This application is dated 22nd March, 2021 which is made to the Education Officer (Secondary). The petitioner seeks direction to be issued to respondent No.5 to decide that application expeditiously.

Considering the fact that the petitioner seeks appointment on compassionate basis, writ petition is disposed of by directing respondent No.5 to decide the application dated 22nd March, 2021 in accordance with law as early as possible, preferably within a period of six weeks from production of this order.

Rule is made absolute in the aforesaid terms. No costs. 5.

Writ Petition is disposed of.
