This is an application seeking condonation of delay in filing an appeal challenging the judgment and order dated 29th April 2017 passed by the Special Judge (POCSO) in Special Case No. 42 of 2014 by which the appellant is convicted of the offence punishable under section 4, 6 and 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and is sentenced to suffer for life and to pay fine of Rs.2000/-. The delay is of 1724 days.

For the reasons assigned in Paragraph nos. 5 and 6, delay of 1724 days in filing the appeal deserves to be condoned in the interest of justice.
