We are informed by the learned APP appearing on behalf of the Respondent - State that charge-sheets have been filed in all the complaints in respect of all FIRs filed against the accused. 2.
Learned senior counsel Ms. Gayatri Singh appearing on behalf of the Applicant / original Petitioners submits that the accused have considerable clout in the area where trial is to be held. She therefore, submitted that all criminal cases against them may be transferred to Alibag Court. Looking at the peculiar facts and circumstances of the case, we are of the view that in the interest of justice it would be appropriate if the matters which are pending in the Court of J.M.F.C. Murud against the accused are transferred to the Court at Alibag and these matters may be heard by the J.M.F.C., station at Alibag. Trial may be completed as expeditiously as possible, and in any case within a period of two years. With these directions PIL, as also both the petitions, viz. Writ Petition Nos. 3816/2012 and 4448/2015 are disposed of.
