1.
This petition is pending in this Court from the year 1991. It was called out in the morning session and the prayer for adjournment was specifically denied. The matter was kept
suresh 2-WPG-1610.1991.doc post-recess. The petitioners' Advocates still desire and pray for further accommodation on the plea that they have entered appearance today itself.
2.
We do not countenance such state of affairs for this writ petition has appeared on several occasions and on one ground or the other it came to be adjourned, on most occasions on the request of the petitioners. On 28-11-2016 this matter was placed before us and we directed it to be listed on 13-12-2016 (today) so as to give adequate time to the petitioners and their Advocates to argue the case. We think that coupled with the working days and a long weekend, this much time was enough to argue this old case and pending in this Court for nearly 26 years. In such circumstances, the writ petition is dismissed for want of prosecution. The interim order is vacated forthwith. 3.
In view of dismissal of the writ petition, Civil Application No.741 of 2003 does not survive and it accordingly stands disposed of.
