This is an application filed under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for anticipatory bail. 2.

The applicant is apprehending his arrest in Crime No. 157 of 2022 registered at Kothrud Police Station, Pune for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 406, 464, 465, 467, 468, 471 r/w. 34 of Indian Penal Code.

I have heard the learned Counsel for the applicant and the learned APP for the State.

I have perused the first information report. The allegations against the present applicant are of issuing fake certificates of Medical Engineering and other degrees.

The learned APP has produced on record admission form which was sent to the complainant. It is titled as admission form for Batch IIT-RBMS Degree Program and name of the course is mentioned as B.E. (Electrical Engineering). The learned APP has also produced on record certificate which was forwarded to the complainant. For ease of reference the said certificate is scanned and reproduced hereunder : 2 / 3

The learned APP submits that the name of the institute which is mentioned in the certificate is neither recognized by the Government nor by the All India Technical Council or any other university. 7.

Considering the seriousness of the offence, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the present applicant. In the result, the following order is passed :
