There was no appearance on behalf of the applicant on 22.08.2023. There is no appearance on behalf of the applicant even today.

This is an application for bail in respect of the offence punishable under Sections 302, 307, 504, 506 read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC' for short) read with Sections 4, 25 of Indian Arms Act read with Section 37(1) of the Maharashtra Police Act is registered vide C.R. No.328 of 2020 with Ghatkopar Police Station, Mumbai. The applicant is the original accused No.3. 1/2

The previous application for bail was rejected on 04.11.2021. I am informed by the learned APP that the trial has commenced and eight witnesses have already been examined. There are nine witnesses who are yet to be examined. Since the trial is progressing, the trial Court is requested to expedite the trial and conclude the same preferably within a period of nine months from today. In the interest of justice, I am inclined to direct the trial Court to conclude the trial preferably within a period of six months from the date when this order is placed before the trial Court. It is reported that there are as many as five criminal antecedents in respect of bodily assault against the applicant.
