The petition is filed for the following relief : "(b) this Hon'ble Court may kindly issue writ in the nature of mandamus or any other appropriate writ and/or direction and/or order and thereby direct Respondent No. 1 to hear and adjudicate in a time bound manner, the application of the Petitioner before it, i.e., the Revision Application under section 318 of the Maharashtra Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayat and Industrial Townships Act, 1965 before Minister Government of Maharashtra Department of Municipal Administration, in accordance with law."

As the Petitioner's said revision is pending since 2015, we deem it convenient to dispose of this writ petition by directing the appellate authority, namely, the Minister, Government of Maharashtra in Urban Development Department or its delegated officer to dispose of the Petitioner's revision application as expeditiously as possible and patilsr 1 / 2
preferably within the period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Ordered accordingly.

It is made clear that this Court has not gone into merits of the matter and all points and contentions of the respective parties are kept open. This order shall not be construed as an expression of any opinion on the merits of the case.
