This Appeal under section 54 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 was preferred by the claimants against the judgment and order dated 31st March, 1989 passed in Land acquired Reference 528 of 1989. Appeal was admitted on 27th February, 1992.

Office notings show that notices were served on appellants 2.1 to 2.12, 4 and 5; however, as per bailiff'S report, notice of appellant no.1, 2.13 and 3 was returned unserved with remark 'Died'. The appellants to whom notices were served, were absent on 4th March, 2022, 7th April, 2022 when the appeal was called on for hearing. Appeal is, therefore, dismissed in default and disposed of accordingly.
