The learned AGP has placed on record revised chart which is taken on record and marked as 'R Ch-1'. The learned AGP on instructions states that assessment of the petitioners for release of grant for the years 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 has been completed. He further states that to the petitioners who are held eligible for receipt of grant in-aid for the said two years, balance amounts of grant will be paid within a period of one month from today.
2 wp-2579.16n group.docx He states that as regards re-assessment of the grants payable for the financial years 2010-2011 to 2014-2015 (both years inclusive), on the receipt of requisite documents from the petitioners, re-assessment will be completed within the time stipulated by the Court. We accept the aforesaid statements made on instructions. Accordingly, we dispose of the petitions by passing the following order :-
ORDER
(i) We direct the respondents to pay the balance amounts payable out of the grants payable for the years 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 to those petitioners who are held eligible for receipt of grant in-aid for the said two years. The balance amounts shall be accordingly paid within a period of one month from today;
(ii) The respondent shall fix a date within a period of one month from today for appearance of the representatives of the petitioners before the Squad constituted by the State Government. On the date fixed, the representatives of the petitioners will remain present with the relevant record to enable the squad to re-assess the eligibility of grant for the years 2010-2011 to 2014-2015 (both years inclusive);
3 wp-2579.16n group.docx (iii) Re-assessment shall be completed by the respondents within a period of three months from the date on which all the requisite documents are produced by the representatives of the petitioners. If after completing reassessment, any amounts are found due and payable to the petitioners towards grant in-aid for the years 2010-2011 to 2014-2015, the same shall be paid at the earliest; (iv) Writ Petitions are disposed of on the above terms.
