DATED :- MARCH 30, 2016 P.C. :- 1) It is stated that when this petition was filed, the Caste Scrutiny Committee had not passed its order verifying and scrutinising the claim of the petitioner. However, even on the date of filing of the petition, the Caste Scrutiny Committee had passed an order on 21st November, 2012 rejecting the claim of the petitioner. It may be that the petitioner was not communicated this order, but an affidavit in reply filed by the Research Officer of that committee in this court and in the present petition on 28th March, 2013 encloses a copy of this order.

4-WP.1831.2013.doc 2) In view of this order, nothing survives in the writ petition and it is disposed of. Once we have disposed of the writ petition in the light of this development, it is clarified that if the petitioner is continuing the studies or is claiming any other relief in relation to his studies and appearance at examinations, such claims would be examined strictly on merits and in accordance with law so also in the light of the order of the Scrutiny Committee.

3) Mr. Govilkar shall handover list of such of the petitions pending in this court, which, though not taken up or placed for admission as per their turn, have resulted in students obtaining ad-interim reliefs and completing their studies without the caste certificates being validated or though such certificates being invalidated.
