The petitioner, by way of filing this petition, has prayed for directions to the concerned respondent authorities to refund surety amount of Rs.10,000/-.

It appears that the petitioner was released on furlough upon his furnishing of two sureties (Rs.5,000/- each). 3.

Learned APP submits that the surety amount was forfeited on the ground of breach of condition of furlough by the petitioner. 4.

In our opinion, the action taken by the respondent authorities of forfeiting surety amount of the petitioner cannot be said to be illegal. In that view of the matter, we are unable to accede to the prayer of the petitioner. 5.

Petition stands disposed of accordingly.
