Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner on instructions from the petitioner in each of the aforesaid petitions, states that his clients would file an Appeal under section 23 of the Maharashtra Slum Areas (Improvement, Clearance and Redevelopment) Act, 1971 before the Appellate Authority within four weeks from today and shall serve a copy thereof upon the contesting 1/2

910-wp10387-15g respondents. Ad-interim protection granted by this Court on 10th April, 2017 to continue for a period of eight weeks from today. The petitioners would be at liberty to apply for continuation of the adinterim protection before the Appellate Authority. The Appellate Authority shall consider such request on its own merits. 2.

The writ petitions are disposed of in aforesaid terms. The Appellate Authority shall decide the matters in accordance with law and also on its own merits. This Court has not expressed any views on the merits of the matter. All the contentions of the parties are kept open.

All the parties to act on the authenticated copy of this order.

If an appeal is not filed by the petitioners within four weeks from today, ad-interim protection granted by this Court to stand vacated without further reference to the Court. (R.D. DHANUKA, J.) 2/2
