This application is registered on the basis of letter written by the convict to this Court with a prayer that delay of 9 months in lodging the appeal by him through the jail be condoned.

Heard the learned APP for the State and perused the application. Delay of 9 months is occasioned in preferring the appeal through the jail by the present applicant/accused for challenging his conviction of the offence punishable under Section 376 of IPC as well as under Section 6 of the Protection of Children Shivgan 1/2
