The prayer is for quashing of the F.I.R. in Crime No.581 of 2018 for an offence punishable under Sections 498-A, 377, 420, 406, 323, 504, 506(2) read with 34 of I.P.C. registered on 4th October, 2018.

The genesis of the offence is based on the marriage of the son of the Petitioner No.1 with the Respondent No.2 - Complainant on 21st June, 2015.

Respondent No.2 - Complainant claimed that since the demand of dowry was not fulfilled, she was physically assaulted and 1/2

Having perused the F.I.R., it can be easily inferred that the same discloses a cognizable offence.

The investigation is at initial stage. In that view of the matter, no case for interference is made out. The Application stands rejected.
