Heard the learned APP appearing for the Respondents/State. Perused the Petition dated 11/01/2017 wherein the Petitioner has made a limited grievance seeking transfer from Kolhapur Central Prison, Kalamba, Kolhapur to Taloja Central Prison. The learned APP submits that the Petitioner is still lodged in Kolhapur Central Prison, Kalamba, Kolhapur. The Petitioner can renew his request with the Competent Authority. In the event, the Petitioner renews his request, the same shall be decided by the Competent Authority in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible however within a period of 3 weeks from the date of application for renewal of the request. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of.
