The orders passed by the Lok Adalat on the basis of the consent terms on 10th February 2018 have not been complied with by depositing the requisite amounts within the time specified in the consent terms. It will be open for the State Government to deposit the requisite amounts within a period of 8 weeks from today. Place these Appeals before the next National Lok Adalat which is scheduled to be held on 14th July 2018.

We make it clear that if by 14th July 2018 the amount is not deposited, serious view will be taken and the matters will have to be placed before the appropriate Bench for initiating action under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971. It is also pointed out to us that the acquiring body - Maharashtra Krishna Vally Development Corporation is also a party to the consent terms.
