The applicant was granted bail by this Court vide order dated 6th February 2019 in connection with CR No.36 of 2018 registered with Chembur Police Station for offences under Sections 326A, 354, 354D, 323, 504, 506(2) of Indian Penal Code. The applicant was granted bail on his furnishing PR bond in the sum of Rs.25,000/- with one or more sureties in the like amount; 2.
Learned advocate for applicant submits that although the applicant has been granted bail by order dated 6th February 2019 he continued to remain in custody as he has not furnished surety in accordance with order granting bail. It is submitted that it is difficult for the applicant to arrange the surety while in custody and therefore for a period of eight weeks the applicant may be released on provisional cash bail security.

Considering the submissions, the order dated 6th February 2019 passed by this court in Bail Application No.2729 of 2018 is modified to the extent that the applicant is permitted to furnish cash security in the sum of Rs.25,000/- for a period of six weeks to enable the applicant to furnish surety. Criminal Application No.261 of 2019 is disposed off.
