Heard the learned Counsel for the parties.

The Court is informed that the trial has commenced and two witnesses have been examined.

The learned Counsel for the applicant submits that the applicant is in custody for more than two years and father of the applicant has expired and the mother is seriously ill. The learned Counsel for the applicant thus seeks direction for expeditious conclusion of the trial.

In the circumstances, it may be expedient to request the learned Judge to make an endeavour to conclude the trial in NDPS Special Case No.1157 of 2022 as expeditiously as 1/2
